State Election Information

  • North Dakota does not have voter registration! Wild! You simply need to bring valid proof of ID and residency to the polls in order to vote.

  • ID required

    A voter may cast a ballot that is set aside in a sealed envelope. The ballot is counted in the voter provides valid identification within six days of the election.

  • Per vote411.org: The law encourages employers to provide time off to vote when an employee's regular work schedule conflicts with the times polls are open. This policy however is voluntary.

  • Begins: 15 days before election

    Ends: Day before election

    (Note: Times and locations vary, so check your polling place to see where/when you can cast an early vote)

  • "No-excuse" absentee/mail voting is available.
